A Rich Heritage

Building on an 85-year family tradition, The Lowrey Group of Georgia continues the entrepreneurial success of grand patriarch Pierce Lowrey Sr., a Texas inventor and businessman, and patriarch Pierce Lowrey Jr., a dynamic entrepreneur and executive who built thriving technology businesses in Atlanta and New York and then founded and led a highly regarded hospitality group on Hilton Head Island, S.C. until his passing in 2009.

Pierce Lowrey Jr.’s son, TLG founder Lang Lowrey, has blazed his own eclectic entrepreneurial path. After college at Georgia Tech, he owned and ran several successful ventures before selling them to create Buckhead Technology Angels to incubate emerging technology companies. He twice was selected to run Fortune 500 firms facing difficult challenges, implementing complex turnaround plans and securing robust equity events. After a several-year break to become ordained as an Episcopal priest and lead the start-up of an Atlanta-area parish and school as founding vicar, Lang has returned to the business world with a fresh perspective on moving organizations forward.
